October Tree

This is a bit of a departure for me. The tree was really beautiful... The original picture? Mediocre The blurred effect? Up to you, I guess.

Using The Gimp I created a duplicate layer and ran a massive blur on that layer, then made the blurred layer 53% opaque.

This is my long standing photoblog - think Instagram before Instagram. Back in 2004 I bought a Canon digital 10D with a great lens, and thought I'd force myself to take lots of pictures. The site contains more than 1,300 photos, so safe to say I have the quantity part taken care of.
