King Tut - Tawosret Royal Diadem :: November 23, 2009
I went to check out the King Tut exhibit at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) that opens this week, and it is an amazing collection of ancient artifacts and art.
This is a gold crown found in the tomb of Sety II with his name, and his wife's name (Tawosret) on the back of the pedals. Found in Thebes, Valley of the Kings (kv56) New Kingdom, 19th Dynasty, reign of Sety II (1221-1215 BCE)
