King Tut - Canopic lid

We'll leave the animals behind and check out some human images from the King Tut exhibit at the AGO. This is a white lid from a canopic container - before a king was mummified they would remove the internal organs and place them in ornate containers with elaborate lids, like this one from King Tutankhamun's tomb.

about seemsArtless

This is my long standing photoblog - think Instagram before Instagram. Back in 2004 I bought a Canon digital 10D with a great lens, and thought I'd force myself to take lots of pictures. The site contains more than 1,300 photos, so safe to say I have the quantity part taken care of.

Be sure to say hi if you see me on the street!
