St. George's 1877 noise :: December 22, 2008
( A duplicate today. ) OK, another attempt at adding a reasonable amount of noise to a simple picture. This is St. George's Anglican Church on the south east corner of Lake Simcoe, not far from The Briars and Sutton. It is a wonderful old church, first built in 1877, and the cemetery is the final resting place of Stephen Butler Leacock (1869 - 1944). Literary Lapses, Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town and Arcadian Adventures with the Idle Rich are some of Stephen Leacock's most famous works.
