| Just on the very edge of Chenzhou is the "18th Fortunate Place under Heaven". Standing in the parking lot, we thought "yeah, right" but after an open mini-bus ride up the switch-backs to the top of the mountain, with views over Chenzhou on one side, and the country on the other, I think it is well named. Here is a view of the roof of the active monastery at the very top. | |||||||||||
