Just on the very edge of Chenzhou is the "18th Fortunate Place under Heaven". Standing in the parking lot, we thought "yeah, right" but after an open mini-bus ride up the switch-backs to the top of the mountain, with views over Chenzhou on one side, and the country on the other, I think it is well named. Here is a view of the roof of the active monastery at the very top.

This is my long standing photoblog - think Instagram before Instagram. Back in 2004 I bought a Canon digital 10D with a great lens, and thought I'd force myself to take lots of pictures. The site contains more than 1,300 photos, so safe to say I have the quantity part taken care of.
