AGO Sin and Salvation - Awakening Conscience

I was down at the Art Gallery of Ontario yesterday to check out a preview of the upcoming "Sin and Salvation: Holman Hunt and the Pre-Raphaelite Vision" and was really impressed. It isn't a large show, but has lots of wonderful paintings ( and hey, it's free with admission! ).

This is a closeup of the corner of "Awakening Conscience" which shows the fine brushstrokes and ornate frames that are just two common elements the Pre-Raphaelite movement that started in the late 1840's.

This is my long standing photoblog - think Instagram before Instagram. Back in 2004 I bought a Canon digital 10D with a great lens, and thought I'd force myself to take lots of pictures. The site contains more than 1,300 photos, so safe to say I have the quantity part taken care of.
