That's me on (your) left... |

| | Title ::Park Bench Highpark
I liked the lines in this picture, so I converted it to black and white, and really cranked up the contrast. |

|
| | Title ::Basement faucet
I have a few pictures of walls already in my blog, but I thought I would take a new picture for the i-gizmo contest.
This is a wall in the unfinished section of our basement, painted industrial green probably 30+ years ago. The line through the center is a cobweb with little specs of dust. |

| | Title ::Eglinton 'e'
My favourite old theatre in Toronto is now an "event theatre" which is better than a condo, I guess. It was designed by Kaplan and Sprachman, and opened in 1936.

| | Title ::Owl on green
Using a white piece of paper to set the white balance works wonderfully! That really is the colour of the walls in our playroom in the basement.
Seemed a good backdrop for a finger puppet.
(This picture was inspired by a cool shot
of Beatles puppets here. ) |

| | Title ::Lensbaby snowsuit
Ah the Lensbaby again, this time with way too long of an exposure, washing pretty much everything out except the bright colours (this picture has zero post-processing done to it). |

Close up of the Northern Electric red phone from yesterday. |

Lake Simcoe frozen over, on a cold, clear day. |

| | Title ::Centre
I'm certainly not volunteering, but SOMEONE needs to paint the outside of the Jimmie Simpson Recreation Centre along Queen St. East.
A good friend and I were out that way checking out the Publicity photoblog exhibit--we were very impressed. |

| | Title ::Angel on red
Another sculpture from Mount Pleasant Cemetery, this time with a bright red tree in the background. |

|
| | Title ::War at City Hall
After walking the 12km on the Gulu Walk (see yesterday's picture), I had nothing but time while I watched over the organizers as they slept in Nathan Philips Square.
They told me about one of the homeless people they saw regularily - "War", who picked some flowers and spread them around their sleeping mats one night... Here is a shot of War sleeping on the bench next to ours, with his new green suitcase and blanket that he was very proud of.

| | Title ::Lensbaby sun
Outside the Canadian Museum of Civilization, by the exit in the Canadian Children's Museum section of the museum, is this huge sun sculpture.
I've posted a couple of other pictures on Flickr to give you more context. |

| | Title ::Jester Smile
It was 'Silly Hat' day at school, and if you are going to wear a silly hat, you better have some attitude to go with it. |

|
| | Title ::A Step Beyond
The colours are just beautiful in the city this week. I thought I'd use them here to help contrast yet another piece of art in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
This is "A Step Beyond" by Oliver Tiura, 1990. I've posted a more complete view of the sculpture here on my Flickr account |

A closeup of the former Bata headquarters here in Toronto.

| | Title ::Solaas - Eglinton 'e'
My 'Eglinton-e' photo run through Leonardo Solaas's Dreamlines script.
My favourite old theatre in Toronto is now an "event theatre" which is better than a condo, I guess. It was designed by Kaplan and Sprachman, and opened in 1936.
