Extreme brick

(A duplicate today.) We had our fireplace painted a rich shade of yellow, which changes colour throughout the day. Here is a close-up of one of the corners.

I'm wondering if I should try again with a slightly less aggressive DOF and get a more gradual range of focuses (focii ?)

This is my long standing photoblog - think Instagram before Instagram. Back in 2004 I bought a Canon digital 10D with a great lens, and thought I'd force myself to take lots of pictures. The site contains more than 1,300 photos, so safe to say I have the quantity part taken care of.
