The full Bata headquarters on Eglinton Avenue East. This is a composite of 3 pictures, which fit together better than I expected -- I was going for a more 'artistic' look...
The building has been a landmark since it was buit back in 1965 -- designed by John B. Parkin, the "building floats at the crest of the long expanse of grass on the north side of Eglinton. (from Built Heritage News - Issue No 68).
It sounds like final approval has been given to tear down this wonderful example of modernist-era architecture, but plans for its replacement sound even more grand - a $200-million Aga Khan cultural centre, museum and public park.

This is my long standing photoblog - think Instagram before Instagram. Back in 2004 I bought a Canon digital 10D with a great lens, and thought I'd force myself to take lots of pictures. The site contains more than 1,300 photos, so safe to say I have the quantity part taken care of.
Be sure to say hi if you see me on the street!
